Whoever decided you need a passport to travel has probably never applied for one. Anyone who has and said it was easy also had a the foresight not to use any sort of *-mart* or *-ko* ended shopping outlet for any reason.
The process is simple enough: Fill out the paperwork, snatch up your documents and go to the nearest passport processing site. However, they did not factor blondes into that equation.
